On one of my scouting expeditions, I found two amazing rocks off of the side of the Blue Ridge Parkway that overlook a remote section of Jackson County called Little Canada. Once I climbed up on top and took some compass readings, I determined that it would have a sunset view most of the year, but best closest to the spring and autumn equinoxes. The rocks coupled with the amazing view of the valley below filled with autumn color have made this my current most popular image. To get the entire scene in, I stitched 26 photos together to create this panorama. It has every color of the rainbow in the photo, allowing it to be placed in any space regardless of the rooms colors. In other seasons, it has blooming azaleas and rhododendron, and I hope one day to make it here in winter to see it with snow. However, that would be a long hike if the Parkway is closed.
